Author submissions are currently closed.

We are experienced booksellers who have a great understanding of what sells well in our shops, and what is ripe in the publishing landscape and suited to our community of booklovers. Self-published/independently published submissions are currently closed for the foreseeable future. This is due to limited shelf space and our current stock management requirements, along with limited capacity for the administration of these titles.

As an independent bookseller, we do not stock books published on or printed via Amazon due to the nature of their ethics. We appreciate how difficult it is to get your books out into the world, but if we do not decide to stock your book, please do not take it as a personal rejection. Over ten thousand books are published every month in the UK and our shops have limited shelf space to accommodate titles. We make decisions based on what we believe is best for the shop and our customers. We wish you the best of luck with your published work.

Please note that any physical submissions posted to us from 01/10/2025 onwards will be donated/destroyed. Likewise we are unlikely to respond to email submissions as we receive so many.

Please do not visit our shop and try to leave a copy of your book for the owner to look at. Our staff have been instructed not to accept unsolicited books over the counter and they will be donated/destroyed.
