  • Bookshop Visits

    “Hillsborough Bookshop is one of our local independent bookshops, and have been wonderful in supporting our school and school library.

    In November 2024, some of my Student Library Assistants and I attended the shop on a trip as we were fortunate to receive some grant funding from the Foyle Foundation. The students were able to use some of the funding to choose books to stock the school library and all said it was the best trip they'd been on since primary school. Sophie was so accommodating and ordered in books that she thought the students might like and assisted them with making their choices during our time in the shop.”

    We are so grateful to Hillsborough Book Shop for organising a fantastic author visit from Beth Woollvin. The children were absolutely captivated as Beth shared her new book during assembly and her creative workshop was both inspiring and engaging.
