Sara Boccaccini Meadows: Wild Illustrator Event

Join us in the bookshop on Tuesday 29th July at 2pm for an incredibly exciting Illustrator event with Sara Boccaccini Meadows! The event will include an introduction to the book, a short workshop, followed by a craft activity.

Sara is a print designer and illustrator living in Brooklyn, NY. Originally from the rolling hills of the Peak District, she graduated from Leeds College of Art with a 1st class Honours in Textiles and Surface Pattern. Since arriving in the USA almost 10 years ago, she has been splitting her time between working as a textile designer, illustrator and artist. She takes inspiration from nature and the tiny details in everyday life to create unique and quirky print illustrations.

She will be introducing the latest book in the popular ‘In Our Nature’ series!

About the book:

Explore the rich diversity of the animal kingdom in the debut children’s book from Jack Ashby, Wild.

Meet dozens of creatures with extraordinary abilities, then understand how they have adapted to thrive in the wild. Discover the endless teeth of a great white shark, learn how bats can 'see' in the dark and understand why gentoo penguins are so cleverly coloured.

Written by award-winning zoology writer Jack Ashby and illustrated by the inimitable Sara Boccaccini Meadows, this is a book bursting with life like no other.

This event is perfect for children aged 5+

Discover more in the series:
