Join us in the bookshop on Wednesday 19th August at 4pm for an incredibly exciting Illustrator event with Sara Boccaccini Meadows! The event will include an introduction to her new book, Buzz, a short workshop, followed by a craft activity. You can also see our newly designed window and get a copy of the book signed.

Sara is a print designer and illustrator living in Brooklyn, NY. Originally from the rolling hills of the Peak District, she graduated from Leeds College of Art with a 1st class Honours in Textiles and Surface Pattern. Since arriving in the USA almost 10 years ago, she has been splitting her time between working as a textile designer, illustrator and artist. She takes inspiration from nature and the tiny details in everyday life to create unique and quirky print illustrations.

She will be introducing the latest book in the popular ‘In Our Nature’ series! From glowing insects to masters of camouflage, Buzz is a fascinating look at the tiny creatures that will completely change the way kids see the world beneath their feet. If you have a nature-loving kid (or want to inspire one), this is a must-have for your shelf.
